The nearest town for shopping is Ovada around 13km/20 minutes drive away. Here you can roam the streets and top up on some groceries at the market, held on Wednesday and Saturday mornings. 

 

For an authentic village experience Mornese is within 5 minutes drive, with a local café where you can enjoy a brioche and coffee whilst sitting outside watching the locals go about their way! You will find a local Focacceria selling fresh pizza, bread and focaccia, along with butchers and a few local shops to top up on groceries. There is also a hand-made Pasta/Ravioli shop where you can buy trays of fresh pasta dishes and sauces to cook in your apartment!

For an evening out, we recommend the local town of Gavi 13km/20 minutes drive. Here you will find a range of trattorias, pizzerias, local eateries and plenty of wine! Also fine dining at Cantine dei Gavi is here. In Gavi you will find the best Ice cream in the area a small authentic hang out called Il Moro. They are also famous for delicious amaretti- the best you will find!

We recommend - Cantine Del Gavi, Osteria Piemontemare, Vineria Piemontemare, Il Moro.

 

Ovada is perfect for an evening out, with a range of wine/cocktail bars, pizzerias, restaurants and gelaterias.

 We are ideally located in close proximity to the Capanne di Marcarolo National Park. You can take an easy drive there within 20 minutes and spend a day walking around the lake and forests, and also take a dip in the glistening pools whilst you enjoy a picnic.
